Naturalist Task

The mockingbird lives in most of the continental United States from southern Oregon through northern Utah to Newfoundland and south to Mexico. Their habitat includes open country with thickets, farmland and desert brush and they feed on ants, beetles, grasshoppers, seeds and berries.

In my opinion, there is a lot of pine, hickory and oak trees in Maycomb and mockingbirds choose to live there because of the subtropical climate in maycomb, where it is not too hot nor cold, just right for the mockingbird.
